In prefab projects, transferring forces and design information from the global structural engineer to the detailing engineer or prefab supplier is a critical step. It’s often handled through drawings, Excel sheets, and manual interpretation, making it hard to maintain a clear link between the global model and detailed design.
In this webinar, Matrix and StruSoft will show how FEM-Design and PREFAB can streamline this handover. PREFAB is a native FEM-Design extension, proven in Danish prefab concrete practice, that converts FEM-Design results into component-level documentation for the next engineering step.
You will see how forces from a global FEM model can be transferred more clearly to detailing engineers or prefab suppliers, how PREFAB works as the workflow layer after FEM-Design analysis, and how results can be reviewed, documented, and prepared for handover. We will explore output options such as PDF, FEM-Design export, Excel, and locked PREFAB files, and discuss whether this workflow could fit Dutch prefab engineering practice. You will also be able to ask questions directly to Structural Branch Manager and the Product Owner of PREFAB.
Shahram Omary will present in Dutch; Casper Hougaard will demonstrate the workflow in English.
Agenda:
• Welcome & introduction to the topic
• What is PREFAB and what it is not
• Live workflow demo from FEM-Design model to PREFAB output
• Walkthrough of Input and Output options
• Discussion: how could this fit Dutch prefab workflows?
• Final questions and next steps
Speakers:
